Linatil Comp (Enalapril Maleate, Hydrochlorothiazide)

Linatil Comp, a combined ACE inhibitor and thiazide diuretic, is indicated for the management of hypertension.

• Essential hypertension: lowers both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
• Diastolic hypertension: provides additional reduction in diastolic pressure.

• Enalapril maleate blocks the angiotensin‑converting enzyme, preventing formation of angiotensin II and reducing vasoconstriction and aldosterone release. Hydrochlorothiazide acts on the distal convoluted tubule to inhibit Na⁺/Cl⁻ reabsorption, increasing urinary sodium and water excretion. The combined actions decrease peripheral vascular resistance and plasma volume, producing an additive reduction in arterial pressure.
