Linn (Clotrimazole)

Clotrimazole acts on fungal cell membranes to treat infections within the vaginal environment.

• Vaginal candidiasis: relieves itching, discharge and irritation while eradicating Candida species.
• Vulvovaginal yeast infection: restores normal vaginal flora and reduces recurrence risk.
• Recurrent vaginal candidiasis: provides symptomatic control during breakthrough episodes.

• Clotrimazole inhibits the fungal enzyme lanosterol 14α‑demethylase, a key step in ergosterol synthesis. By blocking ergosterol production, the drug disrupts the integrity of the fungal cell membrane, leading to increased permeability and ultimately cell death, thereby clearing the infection.

Clotrimazole may cause local adverse reactions when applied vaginally.
