Mupirocine Substi-Labo (Mupirocin)

Mupirocin is a topical antibacterial used to manage skin conditions caused by susceptible bacteria.

• Mupirocin inhibits bacterial isoleucyl‑tRNA synthetase, a key enzyme for protein synthesis. By blocking this enzyme, the drug prevents incorporation of isoleucine into nascent bacterial proteins, halting bacterial growth and leading to cell death in susceptible Gram‑positive organisms.

Mupirocin may cause local and systemic adverse reactions.
