Indications & Clinical Uses

  • Nasic, containing xylometazoline, acts on nasal vascular tone to alleviate congestion in upper‑respiratory conditions.
  • Common cold: reduces nasal blockage and improves airflow.
  • Sinusitis: decreases mucosal edema, facilitating sinus drainage.
  • Allergic rhinitis: lessens nasal swelling and congestion caused by allergens.

How It Works

  • Xylometazoline Hydrochloride binds to α‑adrenergic receptors on nasal mucosal blood vessels, producing vasoconstriction that limits plasma exudation and edema. Dexpanthenol, a provitamin B5 derivative, is converted to pantothenic acid in epithelial cells, supporting membrane repair and providing moisturisation of the nasal mucosa.
