Nurofen For Children Six Plus Strawberry (Ibuprofen)

Ibuprofen acts as an analgesic and antipyretic in the paediatric population. It is commonly used for:

• Fever: Helps lower elevated body temperature in children.
• Headache: Relieves mild to moderate headache pain.
• Dental pain: Alleviates discomfort following toothache or dental procedures.
• Musculoskeletal aches: Reduces pain from minor sprains, strains or growing pains.
• Minor inflammatory conditions: Decreases discomfort associated with mild inflammation.

• Ibuprofen inhibits cyclo‑oxygenase (COX‑1 and COX‑2) enzymes, decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate inflammation, pain and fever. This reduction in prostaglandin levels leads to lowered peripheral sensitisation and a reset of the hypothalamic temperature set‑point, providing analgesic and antipyretic effects.

Adverse reactions may occur, ranging from mild to severe.
