Ofloxacine Eberth is a fluoroquinolone that targets bacterial pathogens in ocular tissues.

• Bacterial conjunctivitis: reduces bacterial load and alleviates redness and discharge.

• Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication, transcription and repair. By binding to these enzymes, the drug prevents bacterial DNA supercoiling, leading to cell death and eradication of susceptible ocular pathogens.
