Ketoprofen lysine is an NSAID that reduces inflammation and pain in several musculoskeletal conditions.

• Ketoprofen lysine exerts its anti‑inflammatory and analgesic effects by reversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX‑1 and COX‑2) enzymes, which decreases the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in pain, fever and inflammation. This inhibition reduces peripheral sensitisation of nociceptors and limits inflammatory mediator release.
