Olfen Depotabs contains diclofenac sodium, a medication that acts on the prostaglandin pathway to reduce inflammation and pain.

  • Osteoarthritis: Reduces joint pain and improves mobility in affected joints.
  • Rheumatoid arthritis: Decreases inflammation and joint swelling.
  • Acute musculoskeletal injury: Alleviates pain and swelling following sprains, strains and bruises.

How It Works

  • Diclofenac sodium inhibits cyclo‑oxygenase (COX‑1 and COX‑2) enzymes, decreasing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate inflammation, pain and fever. By limiting prostaglandin production at the site of injury, it provides anti‑inflammatory and analgesic effects without directly acting on neural pain pathways.
