Omicur (Amorolfine Hydrochloride)

Omicur is an antifungal agent that acts on dermatophytes and yeasts causing nail and skin infections.

• Onychomycosis: Reduces fungal growth and improves nail appearance.
• Tinea pedis: Relieves scaling and itching associated with athlete's foot.
• Tinea corporis: Clears ring‑shaped lesions on the body.
• Tinea cruris: Controls fungal infection in the groin area.
• Seborrheic dermatitis: Decreases flaking and redness on the scalp.
• Pityriasis versicolor: Helps restore normal skin pigmentation.

• Amorolfine hydrochloride interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. By inhibiting key enzymes in the sterol pathway, it disrupts membrane integrity, leading to increased permeability and fungal cell death.

Adverse reactions to topical amorolfine are generally mild and localized.
