Openvas (Olmesartan Medoxomil)

Openvas is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that works within the renin‑angiotensin system to lower blood pressure.

• Olmesartan medoxil works by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the AT‑1 receptors on vascular smooth‑muscle and adrenal cells. This inhibition prevents vasoconstriction and aldosterone release, leading to vasodilation, reduced peripheral resistance and lower blood pressure.
