Otrivin Comp (Xylometazoline Hydrochloride, Ipratropium Bromide)

Otrivin Comp combines two agents that act on nasal passages to reduce congestion and secretions.

• Nasal congestion due to common cold: helps clear blocked nasal passages and improves airflow.
• Allergic rhinitis: decreases swelling and mucus production, easing breathing.
• Sinusitis: reduces mucosal edema, facilitating sinus drainage and symptom relief.

• Xylometazoline Hydrochloride stimulates alpha‑adrenergic receptors on nasal mucosal blood vessels, causing vasoconstriction and reduced swelling. Ipratropium Bromide antagonizes muscarinic receptors in the nasal epithelium, limiting acetylcholine‑mediated glandular secretion and thereby decreasing nasal discharge.
