Indications & Clinical Uses

Pamorelin La is a GnRH‑agonist that modulates the hypothalamic‑pituitary‑gonadal axis in several hormone‑sensitive diseases.

  • Prostate cancer: provides androgen suppression to slow tumor growth.
  • Endometriosis: reduces ectopic endometrial tissue activity by lowering estrogen levels.
  • Central precocious puberty: delays further sexual development by suppressing gonadotropins.
  • Assisted reproductive technology (ART) protocols: controls ovarian stimulation timing.
  • Uterine fibroids: alleviates symptoms through estrogen suppression.
  • Transgender hormone therapy (male‑to‑female): facilitates estrogen‑dominant regimens by suppressing testosterone production.

How It Works

  • Triptorelin is a synthetic decapeptide that binds with high affinity to pituitary GnRH receptors, initially stimulating a transient surge of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle‑stimulating hormone (FSH) followed by receptor desensitisation and down‑regulation. This sustained activation leads to marked suppression of gonadal steroidogenesis, lowering circulating testosterone and estrogen levels.

Side Effects

Triptorelin may cause a range of adverse reactions, most of which are dose‑dependent and reversible after discontinuation.
