Uses of THYMOGAM 250 MG INJECTION - Antithymocyte immunoglobulins(250mg):
1. Used for the prevention and treatment of organ rejection in patients
2. Thymogam is indicated in the treatment of moderate to severe aplastic anaemia in patients not suitable for bone marrow transplant.

Thymogam 250 Injection is an immunosuppressive medication that aids in the prevention of the immune system attacking transplanted organs, particularly in kidney transplant recipients. As a result, this medication aids in the prevention of organ rejection in patients undergoing organ transplantation. It is also used to treat moderate to severe aplastic anaemia (a condition characterised by a low blood count caused by a bone marrow abnormality) in patients who are not candidates for bone marrow transplant.
This medication is not suggested for patients who have a known allergy to Anti-thymocyte globulin, horse proteins, or any other inactive substance present. Thymogam 250mg Injection should be administered according to the instructions on the label or as directed by a doctor.
You must receive the exact dose prescribed to you. Because this medication is delivered by a competent healthcare expert in a hospital or clinical setting, the possibility of an overdose is quite low. If an overdose is detected, the doctor will commence emergency medical treatment.

1. Thymogam should not be given to a patient who has had a severe systemic reaction to this or any other equine globulin preparation in the past.
2. Several studies have found a rise in the incidence of CMV infection in Thymogam patients. Before beginning treatment, physicians should strongly advocate skin testing to identify patients at highest risk of systemic anaphylaxis.
3. 250mg Thymogam To prevent organ transplant rejection, injection is used in conjunction with other drugs.
4. Avoid using some vaccines during therapy because they may be less effective when combined with Thymogam 250mg Injection. Consult your physician.
5. When the dose of corticosteroids and other immunosuppressants is reduced, some previously hidden Thymogam responses may emerge. Under these conditions, patients should be watched closely during Thymogam therapy.
6. Use effective contraception during treatment and for 12 weeks after stopping Thymogam 250mg Injection.
7. Because of the increased risk of skin cancer when taking Thymogam 250mg Injection, limit your exposure to sunlight by covering your skin with clothing and applying sunscreen with a high SPF.
8. This medication may have an effect on your immune system, putting you vulnerable to opportunistic infections from a wide range of microorganisms.
