  • Vivotif is used to prevent typhoid fever, a serious infection caused by the Salmonella Typhi bacteria. It is recommended for travelers to regions with poor sanitation or where typhoid is prevalent. The vaccine works by stimulating the body’s immune response to the bacteria. It is not a treatment for active typhoid infections.

Side Effects
