Abrysvo is a vaccine designed to prevent lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

• Prevention of RSV disease in infants up to 6 months of age when administered to pregnant persons at 32–36 weeks gestation: Helps protect newborns and infants against severe LRTD caused by RSV.
• Prevention of RSV disease in adults 60 years of age and older: Reduces the risk of LRTD, including severe cases, in older adults.
• Prevention of RSV disease in individuals 18 through 59 years of age who are at increased risk for LRTD caused by RSV: Provides protection for individuals with higher susceptibility to RSV complications.

• Abrysvo works by inducing active immunity. It contains recombinant stabilized RSV prefusion F antigens, which stimulate the production of neutralizing antibodies against RSV. These antibodies help the body recognize and fight off RSV infections, thereby preventing lower respiratory tract disease caused by the virus.
