Symbyax combines an antipsychotic and an antidepressant pathway to address specific mood disorders in adults.

• Major depressive disorder: used as adjunctive therapy in adults with treatment-resistant depression when other approaches have been inadequate.
• Bipolar I disorder: used for depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder in adults.

• Olanzapine blocks dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, while also acting at other serotonergic, histaminergic, and muscarinic receptors.
