Product Introduction:
This medication contains two parts: buprenorphine and naloxone. It is for helping people with problems from using opioids. Buprenorphine is a kind of drug that can help with the bad feelings when someone stops using other opioids. Naloxone is another part of the medicine that stops opioids from working and can make someone feel very sick if they inject it. But if they take it by mouth, under the tongue, or on the inside of the cheek, it's less likely to make them feel sick. It's put together with buprenorphine to stop people from misusing it by injecting it. This medicine is used as part of a bigger plan to help with opioid problems, like keeping an eye on how it's used, talking with someone, making agreements, and making some changes in how you live.
If you're not sure, ask your doctor or the person who gives you the medicine if you should have naloxone in case of an opioid emergency. Also, teach your family or the people you live with about the signs of using too much and what to do if it happens.
